Eligibility criteria

Dr Ambedkar Scheme of Interest Subsidy on Educational Loan for Overseas Studies
This scholarship is open to students of Other Backward Classes (OBC) or Ecnomically Backward Classes (EBC) who wish to pursue higher education abroad.

Eligibility criteria
- Candidates must secured a position in an international institution for a master’s, PhD, or MPhil
- Student needs a loan from a authorized bank under the Education Loan Scheme of the Indian Banks Association (IBA).
- For OBC family income should not exceed INR 8 Lakh
- For EBCfamily income should not exceed 5 Lakhs
- Students are required to submit proof of income, ITR, Form 16 etc.
Dr Ambedkar Scheme of Interest Subsidy on Educational Loan for Overseas Studies covers subsidies for the interest allocated at the time of studying.
The JN Tata Endowment for the Higher Education of Indians
Scholarship was established in 1892 by Jamsetji Nusserwanjee Tata and if you are planning to pursue a PhD or postgraduate degree abroad in any discipline, you can apply for this scholarship.
JN Tata Endowment scholarship for Indian students is awarded to 90-100 scholarship students each year. This scholarship has certain qualifications and options. Also, recently the loan amounts range from Rs 100,000 to Rs. 10,00,000 with the maximum amount being Rs. 10,00,000. The maximum amount is subject to change.
Additionally, J.N. Tata Scholar’s loan recipients are also eligible to receive travel grants and cash prizes based on criteria set by the allied Tata Trusts.

The Inlaks Shivdasani Scholarships
Inlaks Shivdasani Scholarships Introduced in 1976, this scholarship is offered to candidates who want to study in USA. It covers up to USD 100,000 in tuition fees and other expenditures.

Eligibility criteria
- This scholarship is available to students who have been in India for the last six months.
- Applicants looking for Inlaks Shivdasani Scholarships must have been born on or after January 1, 1994.
- Those student who opted for mathematics, science, and related studies need a minimum of 70% academic grade.
- Those students who opted for humanities, law, fine arts, social science, and architecture need a minimum of 65% academic grade.
- To qualify for this scholarship, applicants with a foreign undergraduate degree must have existed, worked, or studied in India for at least 2 years post-graduation.
- Applicants must have secured admission to their selected College or institution and course before applying. The Organisation would not consider applications without proof of admission.
- Students with a conditional offer requiring an English language certification have to obtain the certification before applying for the Inlaks Shivdasani Scholarships.
- Applicants with a deferred offer should hold a valid admission offer for the academic year they intend to study to qualify for the Inlaks Shivdasani Scholarships.
